Too Faced x Nikkie Tutorials The Power of Makeup

I have only stayed up all night for one other palette, Jaclyn Hill x Morphe. But I was not about to miss out on this beauty, even if it meant staying awake until 3am est. I was certain this would sell out within minutes of being live so I did not want to chance it.

I love Nikkie Tutorials as approximately 5 million other people do too lol. She is an absolute makeup ARTIST. So I just knew that any palette she had a hand in making was something I HAD to have. This does not disappoint.

There are 9 eyeshadow shades. Perfect for a neutral everyday look but also enough of a mixture to go dark and smokey or even colorful and punchy. There is also the perfect ratio of matte and shimmer.

Wham Bam and Mystic Hour are two of the most gorgeous jewel tone shades ever. Sugar Coated, Frosted Yum, and Irresistible were a little chunky when swatched with a finger but with a brush I didn't experience that. But there was a little fallout from these shades, not a big deal for me as I always do my eyes first but something to keep in mind.

The blushes are also a perfect pair, a nice neutral and then a pop of color. I was a little concerned about the bronzer, with Nikkie being a pale princess herself I thought she may go with the Milk Chocolate shade but I understand her wanting to be more inclusive, and with a light hand I can make this work. Now to be 100% honest I am a little underwhelmed with the highlight. We all know she is the Queen of Highlight! But this... this is just okay. Its not super intense, just an everyday highlight but even at that it still is underwhelming. Again, maybe she is just trying to be more inclusive.

Now this glitter, this is on that Nikkie Level Glow. This is the most gorgeous iridescent glitter I have ever seen. You do need a base as you can see from the picture. (base on left | no base on right) I just used the Shadow Insurance included with the set while it was still a little tacky.

The other items included in this set are the Too Faced Sketch Marker and the exclusive Better Than Sex Mascara in Purple. Now, the sketch marker is okay, I like the length of the tip it allows me to sort of lay it against the base of my lashes for a thin line. However I can not do much more, because of the marker like tip it drags and I can't get an even line. Then as for the purple mascara, its okay too. I would have liked for it to be a much brighter purple but it works fine. In any case, personally, I would have purchased just the palette alone so I'm am all together a happy camper!
