Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Color

So on my recent trip to Walmart I spotted a load of new things on the Hard Candy display. I was only able to pick up one item at the time but I did come straight home and make a wishlist for all the things I want to go back for.

The item I picked up was the new Velvet Mousse Mattel Lip Color and I got the shade Sweet Pea. This formula is very mousse like in texture, opaque, and smells like vanilla frosting. It glides on smoothly and doesn't catch on any flakiness on my lips or accentuate the lines in my lips. If you don't put too much on it will dry down to a transfer proof finish and lasts really well. They aren't tacky at all and feel so lightweight you might even forget you're wearing them. The packaging is nearly exactly like the Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color wide and slim. The wand is a longer shape not like a doe foot, it holds just enough product I find, though I do have small lips. It is slim enough to easily maneuver around your lip line for precision.

Also, the packaging that the product comes in is a little excessive in my opinion. It's a tin can that opens on a hinge and has a mirror inside. Now I think for most people that will be a waste as you'll take the product out and never use the tin again or throw it out. Me, however, I'm very in to compartments and having things separated into their own spaces and I will definitely find a way to utilize this somewhere else.

If you didn't know Hard Candy is only available at Walmart and these are priced at $6 each, which I think is a great price. There were 6 or 7 more shades in this range and I do plan on going back to pick up more. There was a purple and red shade that I am particularly interested in getting.

I haven't tried much from the Hard Candy range and would love some product suggestions if you have them. :)
